Lida Suchy chronicles communities through portraiture. Often drawing creative inspiration from her background as a first-generation American in a refugee family, Suchy was named a 2016 Guggenheim Fellow and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow. Her prints are included in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, Bibliothèque Nationale, Eastman Museum, Franko Museum Ukraine and SF MoMA. Her editorial work has been published in National Geographic, Life and GEO Magazines. Suchy is also a photography speaker and educator specializing in portfolio development, portraiture and photographing communities.
