Daryl Thetford
Photographer
The nature of chaos inspires Daryl Thetford‘s work. His digital photo collage provides a means to reflect and express the tension between our fragmented struggle for understanding and to simultaneously articulate the beauty that can emerge from disorder. He often uses 75 or more photographs — of signs, train cars, graffiti, urban walls, newspaper boxes, old maps, etc — to create one image. Solo exhibitions are upcoming at Tanner-Hill Gallery in Chattanooga and the Jung Center in Houston. His work has been featured in museums and galleries throughout the U.S., including the Mobile Museum of Art, the Museum of Anthropology of the UC-Chico, the Hunter Museum and the San Diego Art Institute.
