Ruth Fremson

Ruth Fremson is a general assignment photographer for the New York Times covering a wide range of topics, including the 2000 presidential campaign. She has won Picture of the Year awards by the National Press Photographers Association, the White House News Photographers Association and the New York Press Photographers Association. Ruth is the recipient of two Pulitzer Prizes, one as a member of the Times team that won the 2002 Pulitzer for Breaking News Photography for coverage of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the protracted conflict in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
