David Black

David Black is a Los Angeles based photographer and director noted for his work with musicians such as Daft Punk, Cat Power and Kendrick Lamar. Photo District News selected David as one of 30 emerging photographers to watch in 2011, Print Magazine named David as a top New Visual Artist under 30, and he was included in the Art Directors Club of New York “Young Guns” Show and Book. His photographs can be seen in publications such as The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Interview Magazine and for brands such as Nike, Levi’s and Adidas by Stella McCartney. His directing work can be seen in commercials for Shinola Detroit and Bushmills. David studied at The Cooper Union and San Francisco Art Institute.
