Mark Seliger's Photo Studio

Get Ready for Your Close-Up

On the night of the Academy Awards, photographer Mark Seliger typically creates a customized photo studio inside the Vanity Fair party, held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. Therein, he captures actors, directors, celebrated guests, and the evening’s honorees as they pose in all their finery, many of them bearing their newly gotten gold. For Vanity Fair: Hollywood Calling, the Annenberg Space for Photography has built a facsimile – designed by Thomas Thurnauer, the same set designer with whom Seliger often works – for guests to have their own portraits taken. Come to the Photo Space a Hollywood Hopeful and leave a star!
