Iris Nights Lecture Series
Lecture
PAST EVENT: Fri, Oct 06, 2017

In 1999, at the age of 25, Anna Mia Davidson visited Cuba for the first time, determined to capture her personal vision of the isolated Caribbean island nation with her camera. Over the next eight years, Davidson portrayed daily life in the cities, villages and the countryside in an attempt to depict her own sense of Cuba’s “soul.” Davidson will discuss how her black-and-white photographs reflect the resilience, ingenuity, and spirit of the Cuban people.
