About the Film

The REFUGEE  documentary, narrated by UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and Academy Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett, is part of the Annenberg Foundation’s groundbreaking exhibition of photography illuminating the global refugee crisis.

The 23-minute film follows five internationally-acclaimed photographers commissioned by the Annenberg Foundation as they capture images documenting the lives of displaced people on five continents. The documentary captures the dramatic moments behind the stunning pictures hanging in the exhibition, as well as the photographers’ own reactions to photographing these powerful images.

REFUGEE was commissioned by the Annenberg Foundation, chaired by Wallis Annenberg, and was shot and produced by London-based Tiger Nest Films. The film's Executive Producer is Cinny Kennard of the Annenberg Foundation and the Senior Producer is Roberta Hollander.
