Linet Sánchez is a fine artist, working primarily in photography, drawing and sculpture. She is a professor at the San Alejandro Professional Academy of Fine Arts and a member of the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC). She is a graduate of the Visual Arts program at the University of Arts (ISA), Havana, Cuba. She has also studied painting at the Leopoldo Romañach Professional Academy of Fine Arts and elementary level ballet at the Olga Alonso González Vocational School of Art – both in Santa Clara, Cuba.
Sánchez has participated in several exhibitions, including solo shows and more than 40 collective exhibits in Cuba, Italy, Paris and Germany. In 2013, she was awarded the Havana Culture Residency at the Havana Club International, won the First Prize from Post-it at the Artis 718 Gallery in Havana and was recently announced as a grantee for FotoFest 2018 in Houston, Texas.
