Lane Barden is an artist and architectural photographer based in Los Angeles whose practice includes both contemporary design and urban infrastructure. His architectural photography has been published nationally and internationally in design publications such as Architectural Record, Architecture and Culture and ACTAR.
Linear City, his project on linear infrastructure in Los Angeles, has become a key photographic work in the Los Angeles school of urbanism. His work is in the collections of the Getty Research Institute at the Getty Center, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and numerous private collections. He has taught at SCI-Arc and the Art Center College of Design and holds an M.F.A. from the University of New Mexico.
