War artist and photographer Alixandra Fazzina has always looked beyond the headlines. Uncovering the human consequences of war, much of her work has focused on refugees. Shortlisted for this year’s Prix Pictet Award on Disorder, Fazzina’s reportage was published in the book A Million Shillings’ Escape from Somalia. She is a member of NOOR Images and the only journalist to have won the UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award.
